Our central nervous system is the control centre of our bodies. It works in the background to manage the automatic and thoughtful processes of our bodies that we typically attribute to running in the background and which we have no control over. This is not the case. Our central nervous system is constantly reacting and recalibrating to our internal and external environments. While the nervous system operates mostly on autopilot, there are some things we can do to influence the outcome. This discussion invites you to look below the surface at the background operations that keep you going. Nutrition, movement, mindset and the vagus nerve all play a role in establishing a strong baseline and enhance your resilience to shift between the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system. You will learn practical information, tools, and have the opportunity to explore what works for you.

Belinda Morris is a clinical nutritionist with a Bachelor in Health Science (Nutritional Medicine) from Endeavour College of Natural Medicine. Having struggled with acne and hormonal imbalances as a child, and later taking up competitive sport, Belinda realised the importance of combining movement and nutrition to create optimum outputs for each individual.

Studying nutritional medicine incorporates biochemistry, counselling and nutrition for a greater understanding of the underlying mechanisms at work in the human body. Using food as medicine and a holistic approach, Belinda uses nutrients to target issues at a cellular level. Her primary focus is on restoring the health and function of the gut, stress and cellular energy, hormonal imbalances, digestive issues, autoimmunity, allergies, sports nutrition, brain health, neurotransmitter production, self care, and bringing the body back in to balance.

Belinda understands there is no one approach that is right for everyone, and focuses on creating a treatment plan that works for each individual. She is passionate about education and empowering people to change their approach to wellness.
