The Gila Valley Globe and Northern Railway was constructed in 1894, later merging with the Arizona Eastern Railway in 1910. The Arizona Eastern Railway built the Globe Train Depot Complex in 1916 and it was used until 1954 as a passenger stop.

Before being restored by the Globe Main Street Program, the buildings on the property were used to house a Greyhound Bus station, an American Red Cross facility, a YMCA, a car wash, a laundromat, and gas station.

Former Globe Main Street Director Kip Culver began restoration efforts in 2005. The one-story building, the freight depot was restored in 2006 and a Brill railcar was launched to test an excursion railroad. The restoration of the two-story passenger depot was completed in 2007 and with the success of the Brill railcar, the Copper Strike excursion train started operating in 2008 from Globe to San Carlos during weekends.

In 2011, Arizona Eastern Railway was purchased by Genessee & Wyoming for just over $90 million. The Copper Strike excursion train ceased operation the same year due to the change of ownership. The location is currently a museum operated by the Globe Main Street Program.

Special Investigation
A public paranormal investigation has never been conducted at the Globe Train Depot but Haunted Historians will be the first group to do so in its 102-year history. Be one of the first people to do a paranormal investigation at this historic Arizona location. This is the first and may be a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and the only time we get a chance to do a public paranormal investigation at the location.

Spots are limited for this one, so join Haunted Historians on Saturday, April 28 at 9:00 PM through 2:00 AM, at the Globe Train Depot Complex & Museum. The depot is located at 230 South Broad Street, in Globe, Arizona. Check out John's Facebook Live Video for a walk-through of the property.
