Attention NEW and SEASONED yoga teachers! Please join Amy Black and Vanessa Barrett on April 29th from 2:00-4:00 pm for the FIRST session of our Yoga Teacher Tutorial Series.
Would you like to enhance the quality of your classes? Are you looking to elevate your offerings to your students and create an experience for them instead of just “teaching a yoga class”? Or do you just feel stuck in a rut from teaching or saying the same thing, and need some fresh ideas? If so, this special workshop series is for you! As yoga teachers we strive to keep our students engaged, safe, and most importantly eager to come back onto their mats. Our study of teaching yoga is never ending. We must continue to sharpen our technique and broaden our skill set so that we can effectively guide our students through a meaningful yoga practice.
The first session will cover:
Room Ambience/Lighting/Sound- Fine tune how to set a specific mood and enhance your physical teaching space.
Music/Playlists/Themes- Explore creative ways to use music or themes to add value, purpose, and meaning to your classes.
Vocal Projection/Effective Communication- Discover more tips and strategies for effective cueing, and how to use your most authentic voice when teaching.
Future workshop topics in the series will include: Anatomy and Physiology Brush Up, Ideas for Class Sequencing, Manual Adjustments and Hands on Assists, Safe Approaches for Arm Balances and Inversions, Dive Deeper into Yoga Philosophy, and Exploring the Chakras.
