Acclaimed storyteller Libby Franck, of Framingham MA, visits the Corner House Inn’s Storytelling Dinner Program on Thursday, April 12th. A favorite at the Corner House in recent years, Libby has performed widely throughout New England at venues such as Boston First Night, New England Folk Festival, Three Apples Storytelling Festival, as well as libraries, clubs, senior centers and historical societies. She has hosted the Cable Show Tales from Cricket Corner, and the OutSpoken Word.
On Thursday, April 12th Libby will tell the story of Edna Dean Proctor, Poetess and Daughter of New Hampshire. Ms. Proctor was an independent woman who supported herself with her writing of poems, essays, stories and travelogues. She wandered from Henniker NH, the place of her birth, to Framingham MA, where she is buried, stopping in Brooklyn, Russia and South America to celebrate these places in poetry.
Don’t miss this opportunity on April 12th to see one of New England’s premier storytellers! Storytelling Dinners continue every Thursday evening through the month of May at the Corner House in Center Sandwich. Dinner begins at 6:30 PM and the cost is only $22.95 per person. For more information and reservations contact the Corner House Inn at 284-6219 or online at firstname.lastname@example.org.
