This is a FREE event. Attend Corps Fitness' workout of the day and listen to Dr. Jason Balthaser of Core Health Chiropractic talk about the importance of proper mobility and biomechanics of the foot and ankle complex, in addition to Core Health's Global Performance Assessment (GPA).

There are 26 bones and 33 joints in your foot, as well as more than 100 muscles, tendons, and ligaments. Your feet hit the ground roughly 750 times each per mile when you’re out running, yet most of us don’t pay any attention to our feet when we’re going through our stretching/strengthening routines.

Common issues we see when there is a Global Performance Deficiency (GPD) in foot and ankle mobility stability are plantar fasciitis, I-T band syndrome, knee pain, morton's neuroma, neuropathy, tarsal tunnel syndrome, tendinitis, frequent blisters, and stress fractures.

The GPA is a key component in evaluating an athlete's injury potential and optimizing performance. In addition to Dr. Jason being a chiropractor at Core Health, he holds his B.S. degree in Exercise Physiology from Bloomsburg University, has over 11 years of experience as an exercise physiologist in a physical therapy department setting, personal trainer, and chiropractor in both a hospital and outpatient clinical setting. Dr. Jason also holds extra education and training by the Council of Chiropractic Extremity Adjusting, certifying him as a specialist in extremity care.
