This Restorative Hatha Yoga course is designed to deepen your connection with your breath, body & Yoga practice.
In these nurturing classes students will work with traditional Asana in a more spacious way, staying in a pose for up to 5 minutes and using the support of bolsters, blankets, blocks & straps to support alignment and a develop a sense of ease in the practice. During each class there will be a strong focus on the breath as a tool to steady the mind, and provide focus in a pose.
Each week will follow a similar journey through a variety of Pranayama exercises (breathwork) warm up exercises, seated & standing poses, balances and relaxation, but from week to week we will journey deeper into the Restorative aspect of the course, spending extended periods of time in a fully supported pose to encourage a physical & emotional release, and using Yoga Nidra in Savasana to explore a deeper relaxation. Restorative Yoga is developed to promote healing within the body through rest, relaxation and the deep (and challenging!) process of letting go.
Suitable for beginners to Yoga & experienced Yogis alike, this course aims to empower you with the practice of Restorative Hatha and all the tools that you need to take your practice home with you; from tips on DIY yoga props, to audio copies of class Yoga Nidra, to ensure that you can continue on your Yoga journey.
