The Village and The Road brings together The Galloway Agreement, four of the region’s finest musicians, with writer Tom Pow, to explore in music and words the relationship of the village and the road in the great demographic changes of our time. Each artist draws on a wide experience of European traditions to create a vibrant and affecting new work.
The Village and The Road is complemented by the popular Nine Nests – Lessons for Spring, which also, in part, tells of abandonment and loss. The Galloway Agreement is Gavin Marwick (fiddle), Ruth Morris (nyckelharpa), Stuart Macpherson (double bass) and Wendy Stewart (clarsach).
