Dennis Spears became known as the male voice of Moore By Four, the locally-based, internationally heeled quartet headed by pianist/arranger Sanford Moore, featuring the voices of Spears, Yolanda Bruce, Ginger Commodore and Connie Evingson. Dennis has kept himself busy and visible ever since, performing in theater, in music ensembles, and gigging with his own band(s). He is one of the best entertainers around this area, and his renown is growing. His theater piece about Nat King Cole was presented at the Kennedy Center in spring 2011.

Ginger Commodore has been a member of the Midwest music scene for many years. Classically trained, Gospel influenced, Jazz inspired. Ginger’s musical foundation is a true amalgam of musical styles presented with her own unique delivery, from touching whisper to full throated (yet controlled) power.

Her career has taken her down many musical roads. She began her performing as a long time member of the Grammy Award winning Sounds of Blackness, touring across the United States.

Her theatrical credits include: the World Premiere of DEATH IN THE FAMILY with the Minnesota Opera Company, SELMA with the Penumbra Theatre Company, BLACK BELTS at the Mixed Blood Theatre, STAMPING, SHOUTING & SINGING HOME with the Children's Theatre Company, SMOKEY JOE'S CAFE at Hey City Theater, Black Nativity (Penumbra), HAIRSPRAY (Chanhassen Dinner Theatre). and most recently THE COLOR PURPLE (Park Square Theater).

Sanford Moore (Musical Director & Piano) is perhaps most noted as the Founder, Director, Arranger for the award-winning vocal jazz ensemble Moore by Four. Sanford has served as musical director for many Penumbra productions including The Ballad of Emmet Till, The Amen Corner, I Wish You Love, Black Pearl Sings, The Piano Lesson, Get Ready, Blue, Black Nativity, Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Dinah Was.
