Come and join us on our mission to hunt out tiny nurdles of plastic in the sand on Crosby Beach!
Billions of tiny plastic pellets, known as 'nurdles' are lost into the UK environment each year. These can significantly harm marine wildlife once they make it into the sea.
We have been braving all weathers to hunt out and record these nasty nurdles over the last few years, in association with Fidra, however, this time we are doing things a little bit differently...
This time they would like us to record how many nurdles we find and also what colours we find.
We are aiming to rank the top three most common colours we find on Crosby beach out of the following choices:
This data will be sent to Fidra and used to build upon existing data to show how widespread nurdle pollution is.
NO BOOKING IS REQUIRED, just dress for the weather and join us on the beach for some serious nurdling!
