This is an informational session about autism spectrum disorders conducted by an autism specialist. This orientation is for parents of newly and previously diagnosed children, grandparents, caregivers, educators, therapists, psychologists, pediatricians and other medical professionals, and other interested community members.

How ASD affects behavior,
Implications for learning and intervention,
Learn about examples of evidenced-based interventions and how you can use them or request that they are used in your child’s education or therapy,
Learn definitions and applications for terms commonly used in discussions concerning autism,
And a parent’s perspective on intervention and family support services
