**Who IS Mia Rose Hollis & what is the Mia Rose Memorial Garden?

The Mia Hollis Memorial Garden is a flower garden at ACMC where patients and their families can have a place to go and reflect or just get away from the general hospital atmosphere. There are also bricks placed there to commemorate patients who passed away while in the care of ACMC. Stephanie Morse Hollis (an employee at ACMC) and her husband Chuck Hollis were inspired to come up with such a place while they were at Arkansas Children's Hospital caring for their daughter, Mia. ACH had such a place and it was nice to be able to go there to clear their minds and be able to better deal with what they knew was ahead for Mia. After Mia passed, Stephanie and a committee of caring and like-minded ACMC employees presented the idea for the garden to the board at ACMC and we were fortunate enough for them to not only approve the garden but to name it in honor of Mia.
The wish of ACMC is to let our community know that Ashley County Medical Center cares about and remembers their families. Located on the hospital grounds, we encourage visitors and patients of the hospital alike to stroll through and enjoy the garden in the hope that it can be a source of peace and solace. The garden is funded solely through fundraisers the Mia Rose Hollis Memorial Garden organizes and private charitable donations. The money raised pays for the upkeep of the Garden & provides memorial pavers in memory of patients that have passed away at ACMC at NO cost to their families. Please take a moment today to stroll through the garden. Thank you for allowing us to serve you as your hospital.
