Low back pain? Let's get a handle on it and prevent it from controlling your life.
This is a low back and core training seminar for athletes, weekend warriors and coaches/trainers to properly train and rehab your low back/core without causing long term damage from the "sexy" exercises and the dreaded sit-up.
We will focus on Dr. Stuart McGill's methodology of over 33 years of research on the lumbar spine and countless athletes he has rehabilitated.
Seminar synopsis includes:
Low back injury incidence, causes of pain
Flexion and Extension Bias
Cross-over Injuries and Old injuries effecting the spine
Rehabilitation - how to prevent injury
- The "BIG 3" McGill Exercises
- Daily Movement and postures
- Training yourself and others
- Common training questions (bracing, belt use, loads, form)
- Advanced Core
We are running this Low Back/Core Training Seminar to a maximum of 14 athletes/trainers so we can have one on one contact during hands-on portion of the seminar.
Receipts provided by Kerri-Ann Swartz, Physiotherapist which you may try to submit for extended benefits.
Eligible for CEU's for BCAK members (Kinesiologists) and some BCRPA trainers (3 hours).
$75 registration for athletes
$100 for trainers, kinesiologists
