Course Description:
As photographers we want to create images that make an impact with others. Our goal is to bring to the viewer the memories and emotions we experienced when we first clicked the shutter. In this 3 hour course students will learn to critique and be critiqued (without tears) so we become better photographers.
Photography students will focus on Technical Quality including
focus, depth of field, lighting, exposure, colors, contrast, processing,
Composition including Rule of Thirds, Graphic Design, point of view,
foreground and background, and cropping. And, Emotional Quality:
interesting subject, mode and story, and most of all, the over-all impact of the photo. We will lose the words “interesting” or “nice” and learn to look at and take photographs in a whole new way!
