Geoffrey Mead will look at the way that Sussex has been recorded over the past 1000 years in literature, poetry, travel writing and official documentation. His talk will be illustrated with both contemporary and historic images from sources such as Graham Greene, Daniel Defoe and the Anglo-Saxon Chronicle.
Tickets £3 for friends and patrons, £5 for visitors. Booking is advised as we are often over-subscribed for talks.
