ANNY are an ambient down-tempo outfit from Gold Coast, whose journey started as their paths met at the Griffith University Bachelor of Popular Music course in 2017. ANNY comprises of Anna Leathem and Aimee Van Der Kruik with production from Callum MacDonald. Together, combining their musicianship, they create a dreamy sound likened to artists such as Sylvan Esso and Daughter.
Keeskea is the recording project of Brisbane based artist Vanessa Marousopoulos. After gaining local recognition for her work in bands such as sleepclub and Death Tourism, Keeskea has allowed Marousopoulos to execute her arrangements with an uninterrupted vision of beauty. The dynamic arrangements of these songs seamlessly harmonise acoustic elements with a textural incorporation of electronic influences. Live, she is joined by classically trained violinist Olivia Bolin, accenting the nuanced nature of the compositions. The revered word of mouth reputation afforded to these performances has seen the project earn support slots with artists such as Seagull, Stella Donnelly, Jess Locke, and Jen Buxton.
Originally starting as a solo project in 2017 by Joel Berechree, Label is a new indie pop band based on the Gold Coast. They have been showing off their eclectic sound around the city in the last six months. With the addition of Jacob Ellis (Keys) and Scott Brian Jeffery (Drums), Label will be releasing more music in 2018 and will also be continuing to play live around the Gold Coast and Brisbane.
Mitchell Watterson will be opening the night with songs of his own and songs from the heroes of mus-caleah. Taking you through torn fractures and healing remedies. As your shoes come off.. settle yourselves to the cool breath & slow a release that is Mitchell Watterson.
