Gloria Tavera, CWRU MD/PhD candidate, will discuss the role of students and universities in the solution to high drug prices. Millions of people in the U.S. and abroad lack access to essential life-saving medicines. Drug prices remain a barrier, locally and globally. Many of these medicines are developed in university labs with public funding, which uniquely positions students and universities to leverage key changes to the pharmaceutical research and development pipeline. In this session, you'll learn how to leverage your voice to improve public health outcomes for all. Free and open to the community. RSVPs requested to socialjustice@case.edu. Co-sponsored by Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) of CWRU.
