Daily Planet Coffee Co. presents...Event #1 of Daily Chatter!
On 4/12, Daily Chatter will feature Kate Glaser of Hope Rises and Beth Potozniak of Just a Blonde in Buffalo. They will also be bringing friends who were featured on their blogs to share their stories of hope, good will, and positivity.

Mindy Contrino Davey Mindy Davey Music: Mindy wrote 'Morgan's Song' in honor of a pre-teen girl, who was thinking of taking her life due to bullying. "Morgan's Song" will officially be launched at this event - STAY TUNED FOR THE EXCITING DETAILS! Mindy will be providing music for this event.
Lauren Amy from Magic's Mission Beagle & Hound Rescue, Inc.: Lauren's hound, pulled from a kill shelter in South Carolina, saved her life after detecting something per-melanoma on her nose. Her hound, Victoria was persistent on sniffing the spot on her nose, which turned out to be carcinoma. The hero hound has went viral - she appeared on Inside Edition, Yahoo News and other international sites.
Kaely Kwitek from Kaely's Kindness Foundation: Kaely started this non-profit after she was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. This group now helps dozens of teenage girls with cancer feel accepted, loved and entertained. She works mostly with Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center.
Annette Helda and Lisa Hill from HSBC: Annette and Lisa raised thousands of dollars to benefit Sisters of Charity Hospital in honor of Lisa's daughter who was in the NICU for months. They raised money to purchase an isolette to help other warrior infants in need.
Melody Simmons from Make-A-Wish Western New York: When Melody was 16, she was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. Within the next nine months, she received a bone marrow transplant, and was then diagnosed with post-transplant lymphoma. Melody received a wish from Make-A-Wish, and because of that, she wanted to give back. Melody went on to volunteer for the organization, and now works full time as the Development Coordinator in Rochester.
Diamonds in the Ruff Animal Rescue will also be present at the merch table. For each $20 Hope Rises tee, $5 will be donated back to Diamonds, helping abused and abandoned dogs and cats from the WNY region and beyond.
