Former Indiana Poet Laureate Norbert Krapf, a native of Jasper, is the author of 28 books, including the recent poetry collection Catholic Boy Blues, which he is adapting into a play, the prose memoir Shrinking the Monster, Healing the Wounds of Our Abuse, a winner of an Illumination Book Award, and the forthcoming Cheerios in Tuscany: Poems of a First-Time Grandpa, all from ACTA Publications. He is the winner of the Lucille Medwick Memorial Award from the Poetry Society of America, a Creative Renewal Fellowship from the Arts Council of Indianapolis, and a Glick Indiana Author Award (Regional). His poems were read on The Writer’s Almanac. He has released a poetry and jazz CD with pianist-composer Monika Herzig, Imagine, and collaborates with bluesman Gordon Bonham.
