On Veterans Day, lets do something to make a difference in the lives of those who have served. See below to find out how you can help!!!

Vets Helping Vets of South West MI. is a local advocate for the homeless and displaced. We travel throughout Battle Creek and the surrounding counties to help veterans and families in need. We provide assistance with furniture, household items, clothing, and the basic necessities to achieve sustainability and help end homelessness.

9AM - Local Vets will Ruck March (relatively fast march over distance carrying a load - It is both a common military exercise and a civilian activity) from Firekeepers Casino to Dark Horse Brewing Company. Prior, Ruck March participants will be collecting monetary pledges per mile to donate to Veterans Helping Veterans SWMI. 11AM/12PM - Ruck March arrival at Dark Horse

Dark Horse Brewing Company will be brewing a special Veteran's Beer that will be released on this day at 11am. Every pint purchased of this beer, $1 will be donated to Veterans Helping Veterans. Stay tuned for beer details.

Beer Specials for Veterans all day at the Taproom.

Dark Horse Commons will be offering a free 10 oz. coffee to any Veteran. We will also have 12 oz. bagged GI Jitter Juice Black & Tan Coffee Bean Blend available for purchase. For every bag purchased, $2 will be donated to Veterans Helping Veterans.

A limited T-Shirt will also be available for purchase, with proceeds going to Veterans Helping Veterans. Stay tuned for t-shirt design & cost.

Last, but not least, Veterans Helping Veterans will be bringing in a trailer to collect donations for Veterans. Please feel free to bring any of the following items to donate:

Household Goods - sheets, towels, pillows, blankets, laundry detergent, soap, shampoo, tooth paste/brush, combs, shaving cream, deodorant, etc.

Lightly used Kitchen Appliances - small and large

Lightly used Furniture - tables, lamps, chairs, couch, bed, etc.

New or Lightly used Clothing - socks, shoes, pants, coats, shirts, etc.

Anything a Veteran may need for home.

With all of us coming together, we will be able to make the difference in a Veteran's life.
