Auditions for “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”

#var:page_name# cover

"The course of true love never did run smooth" in Shakespeare's frothy comedy. The wrangling of the fairy world's king and queen has caused turmoil in nature and in the love lives of Athenian nobles and peasants alike.
Confusion, conflict, impish mischief and magical transformations abound in the bard's spoof on the fickleness of romance.
"Lord, what fools these mortals be!"

Roles include:
Two pairs of mature lovers (mid-twenties to forties);
Two pairs of "youngish" lovers (late teens to mid-twenties for the women specifically a tall blonde female and a short dark or dark-haired female, would be ideal);
A group of six inept amateur "actors" (adults);
Assorted denizens of the fairy kingdom (any ages);
Two elderly members of the royal court.

We need a minimum of 10 males and 9 females.

Performances will be held during the month of June at various indoor AND outdoor venues in Dassel, Cokato and neighboring communities.

Directed by David Metcalf
