Join Portland Democratic Socialists of America members to demand No Cuts! No Closures! We'll have a chance to tell the Portland City Council to Tax the Rich!!!

We have plenty of signs and are planning some fun antics. *Wear red!* Bring a child if you have one. The event will take place from 6:30-8:30pm on April 3 in the cafeteria at David Douglas High School, 1001 SE 135th Ave.

Community Budget Forums allow the public a chance to give testimony to the City Council about the City budget. This is your chance to look the members of the City Council in the eye and tell them how you think City Council should be funding Portland to benefit ALL of its residents. Let’s show the City Council that we reject any budget cuts at a time when the economy of Portland is booming, and that we support a budget that includes a plan to tax the rich.

The time limit for speakers is usually 2 minutes. The City Budget Office recommends bringing a written copy of your testimony in case you do not have a chance to speak. According to the City Budget Office website, “written testimony submitted to budget staff at the event will be distributed to all members of the council.”
