For 50 years, the Department of Aerospace Engineering, in conjunction with Penn State Outreach and Online Education, has hosted the Comprehensive Short Course in Rotary Wing Technology in State College, PA. This five-day course, which is endorsed by the American Helicopter Society International, is designed for engineers and introduces attendees to the basics, as well as the latest advancements, in rotorcraft technology.

Lecturers, who are recognized as leaders in the field, will cover the following topics:

-Aerodynamics
-Dynamics
-Stability and control
-Structures
-Acoustics
-Propulsions and drivelines
