You are invited to join our April event "Go and Mind" on April 21st, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
The board game Go was invented in ancient China more than 2,500 years ago and is believed to be the oldest board game continuously played today. We have the honor to invite Ms. Jie Tang (5 dan) and her student Mr. Yingshyan Ku (1 dan) to teach us how to play Go and share with us how Go is related to their practice, to Buddhism and to the universe. It is a simple game, but it is powerful and can positively impacts our practice, the ways we plan out our life, and how we cope with wins and losses. We welcome players of all levels and prior knowledge of Go is not required.
Ms. Jie Tang (5 dan) is a US open go tournament champion and has 10 years of go teaching experience in New York Chinese School. Mr. Yingshyan Ku (1 dan) studies go with Ms. Tang for 6 years; he gained his 1 dan certificate in Taiwan and was a teaching assistant for Ms. Tang in New York Chinese School.
We hope to see you there!
