More info…
This is a national event. We will be leading the country in this event. Other groups and museums will be having their own version of the event with the same 33 1/2 hour challenge. This will be shared via social media throughout the country.
Our goal is to get students learning about flight through STEM, gaining abilities and learning about how Charles showed grit, adventure, and overcame obstacles. This has been a yearly challenge to engage our local youth in aerospace since 2015.
How it started: My wife and I first started this challenge at our public school in Colorado. It was a huge success. Our flight simulators were made out of laptops and old car seats. The students built them and installed the simulator software. Our students learned about organization, design, building, perseverance, problem solving, troubleshooting, networking and grit. This adventure sparked a love for learning and opened a new avenue of career possibilities for them.
Please RSVP along with your students email by April 16th. We will send out additional information as the date nears.
