A talk by an award-winning poet Rachel Plummer from Edinburgh

Rachel runs creative writing groups for children and teenagers in Edinburgh, Scotland, where she has been living for the past ten years.
Rachel’s poems explore themes of science, mythology, and trauma, with a particular focus on the roles and stories of women. Her poems have been published in magazines including Mslexia, The Stinging Fly, Agenda, Dactyl, RAUM and Poets Republic, as well as in the 154 anthology of sonnets and the online blog And Other Poems.
Most recently she has received a cultural commission from LGBT Youth Scotland, funded by Creative Scotland, to write a collection of children’s poems based around LGBT retellings of traditional Scottish myths and stories.

Open to the public. A small snack bar will be provided.
