When the owners of die Boer theatre restaurant in Durbanville, Jurgen Human and Margit Meyer-Rödenbeck, opened its doors 12 years ago, the plan was to create a 1 stop venue where the food, the wine, & the atmosphere matched the quality of the shows. We wanted to give our customers a special, all inclusive “sensory” experience.
Taking this vision a step further, die Boer is now launching a new initiative:every month we will be introducing Gourmet food, wine & music evenings, where our chef Jean Louis, will work in conjunction with some of the world class winemakers & wines & of the Western Cape. (4 dishes & 6 wines)
For this evening we will be privileged to pair our food with the beautiful wines of Van Loveren 's wine maker Chris Crafford, who will be sharing some of secrets and stories from the world of winemaking
Providing the music & several "mouthwatering" stories will be the enigmatic Danie Niehaus and the lovely songstress Andriette
This is going to be a night where we celebrate the fact that there is still 'excellence" to be found in our society.
