This day is an opportunity to spend time with ourselves, without the usual agendas, responsibilities, work and other demands.
The thought of spending a long time in silence may sound uncomfortable or even impossible, however as the mind begins to settle away from the noise of daily life, you will find a sense of deep relaxation and peace. Taking some time out of the usual daily routine will help you to focus, feel energised and recharged.
Suitable for people that are new to mindfulness as well as those who already have some experience, this experiential silent retreat is aimed at those who wish to understand compassion and how to cultivate it in their lives.
We will look at what compassion is and why it is so important. We will also look at some theoretical models to show you how our complex brain works so we can understand the connection between our mind and our reaction to life’s challenges.
Throughout the day we will teach you kindness and compassion practices that are easy to remember so that you can call upon them in everyday life, using them to help and support you when facing stressful or difficult situations.
So that you can continue your relaxation after each retreat, we have arranged special guest passes for the spa and gym facilities, which you are welcome to use at no extra cost.
Yoga mats will be provided, all you need to bring is comfortable clothes, a blanket, a light lunch and an open mind and heart.
Tickets are £55 (£45 for anyone who has completed our MBLC/CBLC)
