Historically a Polish-American tradition, Dyngus Day celebrates the end of the often restrictive observance of lent. As the popular polka anthem explains, "Everybody's Polish On Dyngus Day!"
Pussywillows or Water?
This is a yearly debate among Dyngus Day revelers. The tradition holds true that on Easter Monday boys would sprinkle the girls with water and tap them with pussywillows. On Easter Tuesday, the women would return the favor. At modern Dyngus Day celebrations it is common practice that both men and women trade water and pussywillow equally.

Half-pound Kobe beef hamburger topped with a fresh sauerkraut pierogie (from Rochester's own Pierogie Guy) and a dollop of a red wine infused sour cream on a toasted hard roll with lettuce and tomato. Served with sweet potato fries. $14.99
The Royal Kebab
Shredded roast skinless thigh chicken , on a toasted hoagie roll, topped with purple cabbage slaw, house-made pickles, lettuce, grape tomatoes, and a white buttermilk style dressing and red hot sauce. Served with seasoned thick fries. $11.99
