We are excited to start our Performance Troupe Class next week, and thank you all for joining us for this flagship venture. We know many of you are new to a performance based class, so please don’t hesitate to send us your questions.
If you haven’t heard, first and foremost, we are learning a routine. During the four weeks of April, Sarah Catalano and I will be teaching you a choreographed pattern of moves, to one specific song. The moves in the routine are based on what you have learned in Lindy and/or East Coast, but if any moves are new to you, we will review them. As the routine is choreographed, less focus will be on the Lead and the Follow, but on the look of the pattern as a whole.
We will not be rotating during class. If there is someone you like dancing with, please feel free to invite them to the class - the more the merrier, and the more fun you can add with someone you know already. If you did not sign up with someone specific, there will still be other dancers in class to match with.
The overall plan of the week will be to teach you the moves of a section, and then add the flashy parts. We will start each class by jumping straight into the section of the day, so please ensure that you are on time and ready to go at the start of class.
Lastly….let’s have some fun. This is new for lots of you, and some of it is new even for us. We’re going to make something cool, show off the Sands, and have an awesome month. See you on Tuesday.
