“TWO: Two artists, two friends, two styles"
Bob Privett utilizes the style of les Fauves, French for "the wild beasts", whose works emphasized strong color instead of realistic values. His vivid colors seek an emotional response from viewers.
Beverly Parker's work similarly has the Fauve influence with her use of exaggerated color, resulting in abstract layers of photographs. Watercolor, text and fabric. She enjoys hearing viewers’ dissection of the "messages within" her art.
Beverly Parker and Bob Privett are exhibiting their unique styles in April, at the Downtown Artists Co-op.
Please come to the reception on April 5, 2018 from 5-8pm. You won’t want to miss this event! "TWO" will be on display the entire month of April @ DAC Gallery.
