MakerSpace Workshops: Basic Sewing 101--Throw Pillow Cover

Come join this fun three-day workshop to learn to sew! You will learn the basics of operating a sewing machine and sew a stitch sampler. Then you will bring a throw pillow from your home and we will sew a new cover for your pillow! It will have a zipper and you will learn how to make a basic pattern. Indulge your inner interior designer and have fun in this class learning how to update your living room in a simple way!

3-Session Workshop -- You must be available to attend all three dates

Level: Beginner

Age: 18+

Dates: April 14, 21, and 28

Time: 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Cost: FREE

What to Bring: Materials will be supplied for 1st day of class. Supplies to bring will be discussed at first class.

Location: MakerSpace at Glendale Downtown Central Library

All workshops are first come, first served. Once all seats are booked workshop enrollment ends. Interested participants must attend all three dates to fully learn the basics.

Visitors to the Downtown Central Library receive 3 hours FREE parking across Harvard Street at the Marketplace parking structure with validation at the service desk. Handicapped parking is available on the east side of the building.
