MakerSpace Workshop: RepairSpace - Hand Sewing Skills

Have you been putting off patching a pair of jeans or sewing a button on a sweater? Do you have a pair of pants that need a hem, but don't know how? In this class, we will focus on basic hand-sewing techniques and a theme of repair and recycle! You will learn 4 repair skills, including sewing a button and hems. Then we will troubleshoot each other's repair projects and fix them in class. Bring an item from home that needs a hem, button or a patch!

Cost: FREE

What to Bring: One garment that needs either a hem, button or patch. All other materials supplied.

Location: MakerSpace at Glendale Downtown Central Library

All workshops are first come, first served.Once all seats are booked workshop enrollment ends. Interested participants must attend all three dates to fully learn the basics.

Visitors to the Downtown Central Library receive 3 hours FREE parking across Harvard Street at the Marketplace parking structure with validation at the service desk. Handicapped parking is available on the east side of the building.
