Join the Fredericksburg Herbal Arts Collective as we work our way through Rosemary Gladstar's 10-lesson course: the Science and Art of Herbalism. We will meet the last Wednesday of the month at Downtown Greens in Downtown Fredericksburg.
If you would like to purchase the class, it can be found here: https://scienceandartofherbalism.com/. Please have the month's lesson read prior to coming so we can discuss contents, answer questions, make a project or two and help with any homework questions you may have, so you can submit it. I will also have herbs available to become acquainted with, as well as resource books to complete your materia medica. I will have a basket out for a freewill donation for the use of my personal materials as there is no fee for this study group.
April, we will be discussing/reviewing Lesson 1: The Nervous System and Decoctions/Infusions. We will be making a decoction of Dandelion root, and discuss infusions.
May will be lesson 2: The Liver and oils/salves. We will be making at least 1 salve with this class.
June-lesson 3: The Respiratory System & tinctures/drying. I hope to have some mullein to set to dry during this class for our use.
I want to see how these first 3 classes go before scheduling the rest. I purchased this class a while ago, and am looking forward to sharing the knowledge and working through it with anyone whom wants to join. To that end, if the cost to purchase the class would prohibit you from joining, we welcome you to join us! We will be following the structure Rosemary's class provides, and even if you don't purchase the class, I'm sure you will expand your herbal knowledge with us!
