Learn to use the Yoga Rope Wall and Props as a student and a teacher. This course examines the principles of a prop based yoga practice and will explore how to effectively make use of the yoga wall to support the body in various asanas. Sequences are taught as a series of poses on and off the wall that highlight specific methods of restoring overall health, recovering from injury, and gaining mobility. This will enable the student to personally experience and understand how a prop based practice can calm, rebalance, and support the body. Teaching methodologies will also be explored so that instructors learn multiple approaches to transmitting this information onto others. We will also examine how to create a safe and enjoyable practice environment for students in these poses.
This course counts for 7 hours towards Yoga Alliance CEUs or 500 hour Certification Program at Downtown Yoga Center.
