Hello fellow DRAMAC Members,

Here comes another show, and therefore another DRAMAC ATTACKS event!

We are currently in the final week of our 1st Spot 2018 production Dracula, and we thought we would go and watch the show together, to support our fellow members.

The evening will begin at Ubar, with pizza and drinks, and then we will head over to the Lighthouse Theatre for the 8pm show, which will run until 10:30pm.

Dracula, by Richard Sharp, is a contemporary horror/drama play, which presents Bram Stoker’s classic story of longing, lust, and immortality, with a modern theatrical approach. Set in the 1800s, we meet an eclectic group of characters, brought together to determine the cause of Lucy Westenra’s mysterious demise. Each character’s journey is presented through flashbacks as they struggle to react to supernatural forces beyond their control. The show ranges through intense drama, horror, humour and seduction, and explores the nature of virtue, and the relationship of women and men to each other and to society in general.

Dracula is a dynamic and visually spellbinding show. A particular unique aspect is the theatrical conceit of the Nosferatu, eight people who act as a combination of ensemble characters, statues, and stage crew, working in concerto with sound, lighting, and special affects to create a haunting and unpredictable atmosphere.

Hope to see you all there!
