The Guelph Humane Society is hosting another Microchip Clinic! Due to the high interest for our last Microchip Clinic, we are holding two this spring!
The Guelph Humane Society knows that a missing pet can be a stressful situation, and when pets don’t have any identification it can be even more worrisome. A great form of permanent identification is a microchip, a small chip about the size of a grain of rice that is implanted under the skin. When a lost pet is found, animal shelters and veterinary clinics can scan the pet (using radio frequency identification technology), bringing up a unique number that is matched in a database to an owner’s contact information.
Our second clinic this year will be on Saturday April 28th, 2018 at Dreamland Pet, on 6484 Wellington Road 7 Elora. We will be holding cat appointments from 9am-12pm, and dog appointments will be from 1pm-4pm. To book your appointment please visit https://goo.gl/kZyppH or call the Guelph Humane Society at 519-824-3091 to reserve your spot.
All proceeds from this event will help the Guelph Humane Society to provide care and medical treatment to animals in need in our community. The cost of a microchip implant is $35.
The Wellington Veterinary Services team will be onsite to help with microchipping your pets.
A special thank you to 24PetWatch for providing sponsorship for this event!
