It's been a long, hard winter for the birds this year so let's give them a stylish box to nest in.
You will be shown how to use Powertex to allow you to sculpt with fabric to produce a stunning and highly textural decoration on your bird box. You will have the choice of lots of different fabrics and embellishments to use.
Powertex takes three weeks to fully cure and become weather resistant. After this time your bird box can be placed outside ready to attract the birds.
The bird box will be fully usable once complete. It is full size (approx. 18cm x 19cm x 25cm ) and good and sturdy. There is a slit in the bottom for cleaning. The top half of the front screws off to allow access to clean or to provide an open fronted bird box suitable for birds like robins.
No experience is necessary just bring your imagination.

An apron and gloves will be provided and it is possible to work cleanly with Powertex. However, please wear old clothes as Powertex is a fabric hardener and stain by design so is very difficult to remove from clothing.
