Craig Mitchell is a Superior Court Judge in the ‘Skid Row’ district of Los Angeles where thousands of addicts and homeless live in the rough or in shelters. Day after day he was required by law to lock up criminals and throw away the key. He became determined to find a way to help those who had slipped through the cracks in society. His passion was running so he founded a club. He trained volunteers to run. If they stayed clean he offered them a chance to run a marathon of their choosing, anywhere in the world.

Skid Row Marathon is the uplifting true story of five runners whose lives had hit rock bottom. Running gives them a second chance. As they train, they begin to realize that dreams they once thought impossible become possible. The perilous streets of Skid Row are brimming with temptation. Relapse lurks around every corner. Can this unlikely collection keep their lives on track and cross the finish line?
