Join East End Books Pown as we welcome Artist & Author Richard Pepitone for an artist chat & reading from "Gone for the Day: A Childhood Memoir." The event will include a reading by Actor Tobias Everette. The book is available at the store. Orders can be placed by emailing the store eastendbooksptown@gmail.com

Richard Pepitone's memoir of his childhood and youth depicts a boy locked into a day-to-day struggle to survive, but determined to learn how to control his temper and find another way to live.

Born in Brooklyn in 1936, Pepitone became an apprentice to sculptor Alfred Van Loen in Greenwich Village at age 20, opened his first studio in the East village, studied in Florence, Italy and has been working in Provincetown for over 40 years. (Source: CCMoA)

Pepitone's work has been previously shown at the Cape Cod Museum of Art, Provincetown Art Association and Museum as well as countless solo and group shows at galleries, domestic and international.
Richard's art will be on display at The Captain's Daughters starting with a Reception Friday March 30th at 6:00 pm.
