This is going to be a one-day in person training.
Presented by: Tammy Loew, Senior Assistant Director- Wellness Programs Purdue University Recreation and Wellness and Will Evans, MS, University of West Georgia, Professional Counseling College Student Affairs
Comprehensive programs to address alcohol and other substance abuse often involve coalitions, but creating and maintaining coalitions can be challenging. Attendees will understand how to effectively engage their campus environment to create meaningful change. They will identify needs, key stakeholders, leadership, meeting management, creating lasting change, and sustaining the coalition. They will learn about the nuts and bolts of three long-time Purdue coalitions and and how they work to transform their campus environment in a meaningful way, in addition to how a newer professional to the field is developing a coalition for fall 2018.
