easySpeak is stepping up and 'Speaking' out for Lillie and many other families affected by Angelman Syndrome. We are holding a fundraiser on May 3rd to bring awareness to the disorder.
We will have a Silent Auction, 50/50 Raffle, Live music by Sonny Ray Ramos, food and drink specials and much more! All proceeds will go to the Angelman Syndrome Foundation of DE.
Lillie Rose was diagnosed with Angelman Syndrome in 2017, a rare neuro-genetic disorder that occurs in 1 out of 15,000 births. AS is often misdiagnosed as autism or cerebral palsy due to lack of awareness. The characteristics of AS are developmental delay in walking and talking and seizures are common. Lillie is currently non-verbal learning and using sign language and a communication board to communicate, and with the aid of two medications her seizures have diminished to approximately 5 a day compared to 50+. Lillie and her family experienced a horrific journey leading up to her diagnosis and are working hard to raise the awareness and find a cure for Angelman Syndrome.
Please make sure to join us as we walk to support the cause on May19th at Delaware Tech in Dover. You can register at www.angelman.org/walk and choose Love for Lillie's team. See you there!!
