A Six-Week Yoga Course to build confidence for Beginners
Saturday 21st April for 6 weeks
10.30am to 11.30am

(minimum of 4 students for the course to commence)

Over the six weeks the ‘Beginners +’ course will take a closer look at deepening your practice with a different theme every week; core strength, arm balancing, breath work, upper and lower body strength and flexibility.

Lift your confidence and sign up to this 6 week course to find your flow, this could be students who have completed the ‘Beginners’ course, coming back to yoga after a break away or looking to gain a greater understanding on how the poses come together during a class.

Course Curriculum:

Week one - Moving from the core

Meditation and pranayama (breath work) practice
Creating core stability
Engaging the core in each pose

Week two - Strengthening and opening the upper body

Freeing and strengthen the shoulders and upper back
Deepening Downward Facing Dog
Exploring backbends and looking at variations that work for the body

Week three - Strengthening and opening the lower body

Opening the hips, releasing into the quads and hamstrings
Deepening forward folds and looking at variations that work for the body

Week four - Yoga with a twist

Focusing on the spine while twisting
Incorporating forward folds, backbends and the core while twisting and releasing

Week Five - Learning to fly

Exploring arm balances
Variations given that work for the body
Week Six - Time to flow

Bringing together everything together from the past five weeks into a full class practice including elements of breathing techniques, postures and meditation.
