The New Hanover County Chapter of the National Black Leadership Caucus will sponsor the annual "I Have Been To The Mountaintop" Benefit Gala in observance of 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. historic message "I Have Been To The Mountaintop". The event will take place at Ebenezer Empowerment Center - 2929 Princess Place Drive - Wilmington, NC on Friday, April 6th at 6pm.
The keynote speaker will be US Congressman James E Clyburn.
The MC will be Ms. Kendra Douglas of Spectrum News.

The Mistress of Ceremony will be Kendra Douglas of Spectrum News.
Dr. King was to be in Wilmington, NC on April 3, 1968 however went to Memphis, Tenn to help the Sanitation Workers because he thought there was a greater need. This is where he delivered the his last speech " I Have Been To The Mountaintop".
Donation will go toward helping the low income and disadvantaged in the community. In attempts to carry on the legacy of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Poor People's Campaign to promote social and economic equality for the disadvantaged.
Community Leaders / Organizations will also be recognized at the event for outstanding services.
All Sponsors will be given special recognition at the banquet.
