The 15th annual Shenandoah County Heritage Day will take place at the Charterhouse School (old Edinburg High School) at 508 Piccadilly Street in Edinburg VA. This year, the event will honor America's Veterans and Sacrifices in World War II.
On display will be WWII Memorabilia and photos, Shenandoah County WWII soldiers, exhibits from local museums, and family histories. Attendees are encouraged to bring artifacts from home front life in the area to share via scanning or to donate to our local history sites so they can be made available to the public.
The event is sponsored by the Shenandoah County Historical Society, Shenandoah County Library, and County Tourism Office, in cooperation with the Virginia WWI and WWII Commemoration Commission. It is free and open to the public. For info: 5400-459-1795.
Individuals are also welcome to have a display table of your own. To reserve display table space, call before March 31st.
