Do you believe we all have a purpose – a reason for being here? Do you believe that our primary challenge is to remember what it is?
This half-day workshop explores the myths, the stories and the psychology of life purpose. It will share some ways of identifying what your purpose might be and we will also look at some ways of spotting the ‘clue signs’ of your purpose in the everyday. Because, as the story goes, life becomes a whole lot more meaningful when we know what we are here for and we align ourselves to it.
Whether you're unemployed, self-employed, volunteer, launching or building a community enterprise, by understanding your purpose it can bring a whole new sense of direction and momentum.
In this workshop he will be focusing on personal purpose, yet the same approaches can be used to uncover the purpose of a team, an organisation, a project, or even a power-point presentation! Whatever the context knowing the purpose can have a significant and positive impact.
Steve Creffield founded Evolve over 20 years ago with the explicit purpose of ‘supporting people in being more of who they essentially are’. Over those years he has worked with individuals, teams and whole organisations across 16 different countries and all sectors. He has worked with people who are looking to escape long-term homelessness, and teams who are down on their luck, feeling stuck and underperforming, he has also worked with international development agencies that are looking to mobilise vast amounts of energy and resources. What he has discovered is the vital role purpose plays at every level and in every context.
