1st SATURDAY Art Reception – Elk Grove Fine Arts Center ��Don’t miss the special 1st Saturday Art Reception May 5, 2018, featuring the renowned California artist, Milford Zornes, 1908 - 2008, who is best known for his vibrant watercolor scene paintings. His work is found in many collections and museums, including the White House, The Library of Congress Collection and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. During the reception, Milford Zornes' daughter, Maria Baker, will be speaking about his life and art. Her husband, Hal Baker, who is the author of the latest Milford Zornes Biography: "Happiness is Warm color in the Shade," will be presenting selected readings from the book.
Reception will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM, at 9080 Elk Grove Boulevard in Old Town Elk Grove. The show continues through May 23, Wednesday - Saturday 11am-4pm.
During the reception, Member and Community Artists will be showing and selling a variety of art media. Also featured that evening will be the ongoing TILE GLAZING FUNDRAISER. Come out and “SUPPORT THE ARTS” for $15 per tile. Donate your hand glazed tile for installation on front entry walls.
This event is free to the public with live music by Greg Matson, refreshments and free parking lot south side of Elk Grove Boulevard at School Street.
