Poetry can often seem intimidating both as a reader and a writer. Wade into poetry with this class and become comfortable with their waters. In this class, we will discuss poetry as an art form, as well as what makes it different than other art forms. We’ll look at poetry from different angles to develop a greater appreciation of poetry as an art form. Whether you are new to poetry or well versed, this class will give you a new way to experience poetry and make it more approachable.
Peter Stein Bio:
Peter Stein is the president of the League of Minnesota Poets. His poems have appeared in Autoanatta, The Talking Stick Vols. 23, 24, and 25, Sleet Magazine, and Poetry City, USA. He has also taken first place in the Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts Chapbook in 2015 and 2016. He published the book of poetry Auto-Bio (Amberskye 2011), and the chapbook Belly Up (Autoanatta 2015)
