NUSAWASTRA SILANG BUDAYA: Indonesian Textiles at the Crossroads of Culture
The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in London hosts the first ever cultural event that will house a large number of antique Indonesian textiles. A private collection from Quoriena Ginting, an Indonesian collector, who also the author of Nusawastra Silang Budaya, a collectible book of 'wastra' Indonesia. The English edition of the book will be launched at Michael Backman Gallery in London on 19 April. We then invite you to come and join the discussion around Indonesia textile, batik workshop and immerse yourself in the rich culture of Indonesia through our textile exhibition at the Indonesian Embassy.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Each guest must bring a valid ID. Prior entering the venue, all guests must complete a registration at the registration desk and pass a standard security check.
There is no age restriction to attend the Event. However, all children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult at any time since there are fragile textiles displayed in the Event.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
There is a very limited visitor and non-resident parking space around the venue. Guests are strongly advised to use public transport.
Nearest tube stations are Westminster (Jubilee Line), St. James’s Park (District and Circle Lines) and Victoria (Victoria, District and Circle Lines).
Buses routes No. 88, 211, 11, and 24 stop nearby the venue. Find the best journey for you via Citymapper, Googlemaps or Transport for London website.
Santander Cycles Hire is also an alternative. Further information is available in Santander Cycles London website.
What can I bring into the event?
Try to bring as little as possible as there is no cloakroom available at the venue. To ensure the safety of all textiles displayed in the Event, large items, large backpacks, luggage, knives, scissors, and flammable items are not permitted in the venue. We have the right not to give an entry access to guest who brings such prohibited items.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No. However, please have the email confirmation or your electronic ticket provided by Eventbrite ready at the registration desk. We will check them against valid IDs.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes. You can update through Eventbrite website.
Is my registration fee or ticket transferrable?
No. The tickets are non-transferrable.
Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?
No. All guests must register through Eventbrite using their names in their valid ID.
For safety reason, we will check the valid ID of each guest prior entering the venue. Only the person with a valid ID whose name is printed in the electronic ticket or the email confirmation are granted an entry access to the venue.
