Join the staff of the Emil Buehler Planetarium and the members of the Central Florida Astronomical Society for an evening as we observe the largest planet in the solar system, the planet Jupiter.

Jupiter makes its closest approach to Earth so viewing the large planet is at its best. Participants will be able to observe Jupiter's cloud bands including the giant red spot and the planets four large moons: Ganymede, Callisto, Io, and Europa.

Guests will also be able to observe many other celestial spectacles such as the planet Venus, star clusters, galaxies and more!

The Jeremiah's Ice Food Truck will be on location selling their delicious frozen treats so bring your sweet tooth!

The star party will take place on the south terrace of Seminole State's new student center on the Sanford/Lake Mary campus just adjacent to the planetarium. A map will be provided in the discussion section of the event page.

Like all the planetarium's star parties admission is free and all ages are welcome to attend.
