The turbulent ebb & flow of life can often put us through circumstances that may feel nearly impossible to move on from. When we experience something traumatic, it's natural to hold space for that in our energy fields, subconsciously agreeing to keep a connection to the event. This can leave you feeling stagnant and stuck in that place, preventing you from living the life you deserve. Even the daily trials of being human can leave us with emotional wounds that weigh down our spirits.

This drum circle led by Melissa Ameika is curated to release that unnecessary baggage once and for all. Melissa is a shamanic practitioner, Reiki Master and trauma yoga instructor. She fuses these sacred modalities with her own unique gifts to create a safe place to release and heal. Using the powerful tones of her Elk hide drum and through ceremony, Melissa will take you on a transformational journey to assist you in shedding the layers that no longer serve you.

Research has shown that drumming has the ability to reduce anxiety, stress, depression and can even be used as a form of meditation. It synchronizes the left and right hemispheres of the brain to create altered states of awareness, which brings forth deeper healing. Studies prove that soldiers who had suffered with PTSD and used drumming displayed an increased sense of openness, togetherness, and belonging.

Additionally, drumming helps one to access traumatic memories in a safe and non-intimidating way so that these memories can be healed and released.

In order to heal the deepest aspects within ourselves, we must greet it with unconditional love and open arms. Come join us a one-of-a-kind healing experience, tailored to transcend your trauma.

“When we heal ourselves, we heal the world.”
